This property is along the top of of a 8900 foot mesa at the end of a cul-de-sac.  It has varied terrain from a dark timbered northern valley with aspens, firs, and spruce to wide open southern facing bench tops covered in a spectrum of oak and tall ponderosas. 

Each bench has a wide variation of views.  The sheer length of the property, literally sets you off on your own mountain. The farthest one is the best, about 1/2 of the way into the 35 acres.

Phone is by cell and its very good.  What is there to block a signal? Not much from up here.   

There is year round access to the property.  Its an hour from Trinidad via county and subdivision maintained graveled roads, 22 miles worth, 6 miles are paved.   

Las Animas County contains the San Isabel National forest and Several Wildlife Areas, Wilderness Area, and 7 lakes all within an hour and a half drive.  Most of the parks and lakes are between 5 and 45 minutes of Trinidad or any parcel of land.  

From Trinidad you can hit Santa Fe, Toas, Angle Fire, Red River, and Monarch all in 3 hours time.  Wolf Creek and any of the other major front range ski areas are within 4 hours.  Two hours away is the Rio Grande National forest and San Juan Wilderness, some of the wildest country left in the lower 48.  The last known Grizzly in Colorado was found in the San Juan Wilderness.
