This forty acre tract has very mild terrian with a lot of pasture, scattered with pinion pines and juniper. In the valley bottom you will find some cottonwoods. On the hill tops, some ponderosa pines.

Las Animas County contains the San Isabel National forest and Several Wildlife Areas, Wilderness Area, and 7 lakes all within an hour and a half drive. Most of the parks and lakes are between 5 and 45 minutes of Trinidad or any parcel of land.
From Trinidad you can hit Santa Fe, Toas, Angle Fire, Red River, and Monarch all in 3 hours time. Wolf Creek and any of the other major front range ski areas are within 4 hours. Two hours away is the Rio Grande National forest and San Juan Wilderness, some of the wildest country left in the lower 48. The last known Grizzly in Colorado was found in the San Juan Wilderness.
